A revelation!  Ramana's Bhaktic side. Following is a quote sent to me by Janet Beier.  Muruganar is considered one of Ramana's chief disciples.  It is so wonderful to find this quote which absolutely validates the way our sangha is moving.

The experience of not forgetting consciousness ['I am'] alone is the state of bhakti, which is the relationship of unfading real love, because the real knowledge of Self, which shines in the undivided supreme bliss itself, surges up as the nature of love. Only if one knows the truth of love, which is the real nature of Self, will the strong entangled knot of life be untied. Only if one attains the height of love will liberation be attained. Such is the heart of all religions. The experience of Self is only love, which is seeing only love, hearing only love, feeling only love, tasting only love and smelling only love, which is bliss.(54

  1. beautiful marriage between the Self and Love.

my reaction to the sages has always been Love.

not Nothing, not Cosmic Space, but Love.

  2. Why is there always the need to get the approval by Ramana for everything ?

  3. Agreed. It is that almost everyone in the Advaita or non-dual traditions look for public validation in his talks and writings. Normally I only found dryness in his self-inquiry, but here I found his wetness.

Who am I to be believed, but everyone looks up to him. This quote sanctifies our current approach.

  5. Since I met him in a vision, in my eyes he stands like guru of gurus, god of gods and supreme. One just cannot help it but accept his greatness, i am sorry for those who are mad about it.
If i remember correctly even Robert said that he met LOTS of gurus and teachers known and unknown, yet nothing was like Ramana, "Purest being on this earth to come".
What is interesting that Ed came to me in a vision too, and he exactly had same qualities as Ramana... those qualities i cannot talk about, it just felt, it was like 'knowing'. Ramana and Ed were same, not separate.
So, basically, accept it and forget it. It is so. People will look up to him and none will change it.
UNTIL, everybody starts truly practicing, muahahahaha.
And then see the greatness of Ramana, Robert, Ed, Maharaj etc. is within at all times.

  6. Lovely. Makes it so simple in a way. Since abiding in 'I am' is said to lead to the revelation of all its secrets. It follows this practice is powerful reliance on the spiritual guide also. Both outer and inner guide.

  7. 'Who am I to be believed?' Why does it matter to you whether others believe you or not?

Stand behind your own truth. Let your own life and light be that which sanctifies you or sets you apart.

Those who have eyes to see will see and will follow, Ramana or no Ramana.
