12 August 2010

Interesting Information:

About 400+ people visit this blog a day now according to the summary. This is the breakdown for the first 22 hours of Thursday, August 12 for the top ten countries. Visitors come from 20 different countries. Actually, when I add the numbers up, there are well over the 400 that are supposed to be visiting.

Num Perc. Country Name

260 47.00% United States

55 10.20% Brazil

41 6.80% Canada

37  6.20% New Zealand

29 4.80% United Kingdom

27 4.40% Costa Rica

25 3.80% India

17  2.80% Sweden

17 2.80% Switzerland

16 2.27% Italy

It is very strange, but very, very few come from the Los Angeles area, and those that do tend to be 50 miles from where I live. There does not appear to be enough students for a Satsang in this area.

  2. Pranaam,,,,It would be very kind of you, if you can reconsider your decision not to travel around. It would be a blessing for us if you can provide Satsang at different parts. I believe, we seekers together may be able to, with your blessings, share the expenses.

  3. I'll definitely contribute to the traveling expenses. How about cities like Chicago or New York - are there more hits from those since 47% is from the USA? If we video record the first satsangs and post them on Youtube more seekers would be blessed to find out about Robert Adams, Ed Muzika and their connection to Ramana. I would volunteer to do the recordings.
    Much love,
    Janet

  5. Congrats! The numbers will only increase. Putting Ed on Youtube is not a bad idea; it would direct more people to this site.

  6. I'm in Laguna Beach. I would also be in L.A. for satsang.

  7. And I live in the San Fernando Valley so it's only a heartbeat away for me so...

Regular satsangs might not work out since we couldn't count on at least a minimal number to show up but perhaps once or twice each season?

  9. Yes, youtube is a good idea because there could be a link from it to this site and if there's to be a Satsang it would be announced so hopefully more would know.

  10. If I understand correctly, Edji must be in LA to see to the care of feline communities. Asuming for the time being this is the case, the potential for live interactve 'Podsangs' may be an option that would little disturb Edji's living circumstance. I'm looking into this an am keen to have each every all student input. Those tech savvy that may be able to assist in all areas inclusive hardware/software requirements, set-up, etc. are greatly sought. I cannot travel presently yet am grateful to assist with research, purchases/fees, etc. Please feel free to contact me at mtflis@gmail.com Pranams, Chris

  11. The following link describes one way of setting up a live interactive video podcast.

    http://devcentral.f5.com/weblogs/Joe/archive/2009/09/25/turn-your-podcast-into-a-interactive-live-streaming-experience.aspx

From what I'm learning thus far, it seems these folks have come upon a quite creative way to live-stream interactive video podcasts using a combination of elements within mostly free services. TalkShoe looks promising as a live interactive stream, though it does not seem to include video, thus the need to link with Skype, [e.g., "...since we already had our Skype conversation going, bolting on TalkShoe was as simple as adding the conference number to our group Skype conversation. TalkShoe also has some pretty nifty user controls allowing the moderator to control muting of each of the participants. Another great free service!"] It seems to me one or more of us will likely need to familiarize with these options, finding the most user friendly least technically demanding solution. After this is accomplished we will need to set Edji's computer up for hosting. My aim presently is to 'test drive' various options and combinations of options to see if an 'elegant' solution may be presenting itself. Again, there would appear to be a need for somone[s] to be local with Edji to set his system up for 'Podsangs' and to walk through procedures until familiarity and ease are established. I believe once this is accomplished and a few sessions have come and gone, over time a viable format will be familiar and comfortable.

Please contact me with ideas info insights etc. at mtflis@gmail.com . . . I shall be facilitating to best ability - in my way - from here, though I feel we really need someone bio-local to Edji to set this up properly and to work with Him in bringing this into being if indeed this is to be happening. Thank you.

  13. It may be helpful if 'Anonymous' posters include a way for us to be in touch to work together on 'Podsang' and any other projects that may be coming our way.

Any may contact me anytime at mtflis@gmail.com [please include a reference to Edji or itsnotreal.com in the subject line]

Thanks be for Janet 'HappyElegance' and Santhosh for diving in as you have despite having relatively full schedules.

  14. Somewhere, on the blog, I thought I saw that Ed was considering holding a retreat in the mountains near where he lives but I can't find it now. I may be mistaken. I would love to come over (I'm near London, UK) assuming I can make the dates work.
