If there can be any serious interpretation of this, it has to be that while the ancient Greek (statue is so Venus de Milo), Egyptian, Inca, Mayan or any other civilizations collapsed at some point or the other Ancient Indian systems and believes survived (though not in their original form). A Kali or Durga still have arms because it a culture not just tolerated but encouraged differences, dissent and differing point of views.
